Today, we are going to meet mommy Jenna from Boca Raton, Florida. A wonderful mom of an adorable little girl, a loving wife and a great cook! So, what comes into your mind when you hear the word Florida? Beautiful sunny weather, white sand beaches, palm trees, roller skating et cetera. It’s definitely a popular destination for vacation and one of the most fascinating places in the world. Although, it’s more than that. It’s also an amazing place to live with kids. Peculiarly, Boca Raton is a very safe and friendly place to all ages. A historical city with beautiful architecture, lots of green and walkable environment. Furthermore, there are various attractions, cultural events, festivals and multiple outdoor activities.
“Life for moms here in Florida is great! Usually, much easier, because of the year round sun.” she says. They have plenty of fun stuff to do there. Jenna takes her daughter to lots of parks, there are some with splash pads, nature trails, pavilions, sport fields et cetera. For instance, the Sugar Sand Park which has many visitors. “We go on different nature trails a lot. There are tons of them. Some along the ocean and some more inland with lots of tropical foliage.” she says.
They also love to go strawberry picking and to petting zoos, regular zoos and most recently, they visited the lion country safari. Jenna also likes to take her daughter to outdoor “Mommy and me classes.” It’s a place where kids same age meet each other and engage in fun activities together. Furthermore, they go to music classes, since the little princess loved to dance and play with instruments.
“When we are at home, I always read lots of books with her and we play with her toys. We also watch fun and educational shows on TV. While every evening, we go for a nice long walk with the dog. On weekends, we go to the beach. Since we live in Florida and there is water all around us.” she says. That is why, her daughter took toddler swim safety classes. In addition, they practice her swimming skills in their pool. The beaches there are super clean with white sand, it feels like you are on a tropical island.
As far as it concerns Covid, Jenna says that Florida has been pretty open during the pandemic. Only for a couple months at the beginning was everything in complete lock down. Recently, they ended the mask rule for double vaccinated people. When the pandemic started she took her daughter out of classes and kept her home, like most of us did pretty much everywhere. But once outdoor classes started a few months ago, she started to go again. They avoid going to inside places, but there is still lots to do outside there. “So, not too many restrictions have affected our life here.” she says.
Thank you, Jenna! For sharing with us your lovely mom life in Florida and the amazing pictures!
